Course Completion and Certificates
Complete courses, earn certificates, and view your learning achievements.
Understanding how to complete courses and earn certificates helps you track your professional development progress and meet training requirements.
Course Completion Requirements
Section titled “Course Completion Requirements”Each course has specific requirements you must meet to earn completion:
Content Requirements
Section titled “Content Requirements”- View all required sections - Complete all chapters and digital assets
- Pass assessments - Achieve the minimum passing score on exams
- Meet time requirements - Spend the required time on video content
Tracking Your Progress
Section titled “Tracking Your Progress”You can monitor your completion status in several ways:
- Progress bars - Visual indicators show percentage complete
- Section checkmarks - Completed sections display green checkmarks
- Dashboard status - Course cards show “In Progress” or “Completed”
Earning Certificates
Section titled “Earning Certificates”Certificates are automatically generated when you successfully complete qualifying courses.
Certificate Requirements
Section titled “Certificate Requirements”To earn a certificate, you must:
- Complete all required course content
- Pass all required assessments with the minimum score
- Meet any time-based requirements
- Fulfill proctoring requirements if applicable
Certificate Generation
Section titled “Certificate Generation”Certificates are created automatically upon course completion. The system:
- Generates a PDF certificate with your name and completion date
- Records professional development hours earned
- Adds the certificate to your transcript
- Sends email notification of completion
Viewing Your Certificates
Section titled “Viewing Your Certificates”Accessing Certificates
Section titled “Accessing Certificates”You can view your earned certificates through:
- Course completion screen - Download immediately after finishing
- My Transcripts - Access all certificates from your profile
- Course details - Return to completed courses to re-download
Certificate Information
Section titled “Certificate Information”Each certificate includes:
- Your name and organization
- Course title and completion date
- Professional development hours earned
- Unique certificate number
- Completion verification details
Completion Status Types
Section titled “Completion Status Types”Status Indicators
Section titled “Status Indicators”Courses display different status indicators based on your progress:
- Not Started - Course assigned but not yet accessed
- In Progress - Course started but not completed
- Completed - All requirements met successfully
- Failed - Did not meet passing requirements
- Required - Must be completed by specified date
Failed Course Requirements
Section titled “Failed Course Requirements”If you don’t pass a course:
- Review your exam results to identify weak areas
- Retake failed assessments if retakes are allowed
- Review course content before reattempting
- Contact your administrator if additional attempts are needed
Managing Your Learning Progress
Section titled “Managing Your Learning Progress”Required Content
Section titled “Required Content”Required courses appear with special indicators:
- Yellow highlighting indicates required status
- Completion deadlines are prominently displayed
- Required courses appear at the top of your content list
Tracking Professional Development Hours
Section titled “Tracking Professional Development Hours”The system automatically calculates PD hours when you complete courses:
- Hours are awarded based on course duration and type
- Certificates record the exact hours earned
- Your transcript maintains a running total
- Reports show progress toward annual requirements
Accessing Completed Courses
Section titled “Accessing Completed Courses”After completion, you can still access course materials:
- Download certificates - Save or print completion certificates
- Review content - Revisit course materials for reference
- View transcripts - See all completion history in one place
Transcript Records
Section titled “Transcript Records”Your transcript provides a comprehensive view of all learning achievements:
Transcript Contents
Section titled “Transcript Contents”- All completed courses with dates
- Certificates earned with verification numbers
- Professional development hours accumulated
- Assessment scores and attempts
- Completion status for all assigned content
Sharing Transcripts
Section titled “Sharing Transcripts”You can export your transcript data for:
- License renewal applications
- Employment verification
- Professional development documentation
- Personal record keeping
